Stylized classmates from Parsons

Published by at 7:18 pm under Uncategorized

As I was sorting through some old art, I came across this little gem. It’s from one of my drawing classes at Parsons, and I tried (with dubious success) to draw each of my classmates in their drawing style. I don’t remember all the names (I guess it’s surprising I remember any of them at this point!), but my best guess is, going counterclockwise around the room from the far left, Henry (?), Frank (?), Andrea, PJ (?), Jen, Lyuda, and Matt(?). Fun times.

I don’t think I have ever seen this. I guess that shouldn’t surprise me with the volume of work you churned out at Parsons. I can’t really even help verify your identifications. I would believe that those are Henry and Frank on the left. Is Jen, Jen Wood? If so it isn’t a very flattering portrait, but if I recall correctly that would be consistent with her style. I never had classes with Lyuda so I have no recollection at all of what she looked like, the others names only barely even ring a bell. Old age, ain’t it great.
