Honeymoon – Paris Day 4

Published by at 2:18 pm under landscape, sketchbook, travel

We went to Montmartre and Sacre Couer. We climbed the many steps. We avoided the scammer who wanted to weave a bracelet on one of our wrists. We went inside, and were blown away by the architecture and by the amazing mosaics.

We wandered around Montmartre a bit, looking at the artists’ stalls, tile rooftops, and very nice views of the city.

Then we tried to go to the Gustav Moreau museum, but took a wrong turn, got hungry, searched way too long for food, ate, then decided to hurry over to the Rodin Museum before it closed.

We were right near the Musee de l’Armee (Military museum), so we walked over there, but the museum had already closed except for Napoleon’s tomb. So we saw that, then headed over to have dinner with our Paris friends Molly and Veronique. They live near a puking lion fountain.

Tomorrow: the Eiffel Tower!

Beautifully energetic drawings. What pen were you using to draw (or was it on your laptop)?

Thanks! Those are all drawn with a micron. No digital art on this trip.
