Honeymoon – Paris Day 3

Published by at 1:19 am under landscape, sketchbook, travel

We swung back by Notre Dame — on the weekend there had been a long line to get in, but there was no line today, so we went in and marveled, especially at the ornamental gates throughout, and the cool relics they have tucked away in one side of the transept. Alison got some lovely shots through one of the stained glass windows.

They have Sam the Eagle in there. Check it out.

It WAS a honeymoon, so there have to be some cute silly shots.

Drawing the Hotel De Ville:

Next we went to the Arc de Triomphe. Very cool.

From there we walked down the Champs Elysses (which is  totally built up with mod stores and car dealerships) to the Petite Palais and Grand Palais (which are awesome), then through the Tuileries Gardens at dusk to the courtyard of the Louvre.  Gorgeous!

Tomorrow: Sacre Coeur!
